Cities and districts in the Sughd region face significant challenges in developing long-term strategies for alternative energy development. Existing studies have attempted to identify renewable energy sources used in different districts. Because each district has its own unique geographic and environmental characteristics, population size, level of economic development, and social environment, the most environmentally friendly energy source for one city may be the least environmentally friendly for another. This study examines and recommends a systematic approach to assessing renewable energy sources and identifying alternative energy sources for the study districts by analyzing the current state of electricity supply and accessibility to each energy resource. This methodology helps decision-makers formulate long-term renewable energy development strategies. Therefore, assessing the availability of renewable energy sources (RES) when selecting an energy supply system for health resorts and recreational facilities includes an analysis of RES resources, their potential for use, and their economic feasibility. This is important because health resorts and resorts are characterized by high energy consumption, and the use of RES helps reduce dependence on traditional energy resources and minimize the negative impact on the environment.
