The article examines the digitalization of the transport sector as one of the key factors for improving freight transport management and developing the logistics system in the Republic of Tajikistan. The relevance of the study is determined by the growing volume of freight transportation, increasing demand for modern logistics services, and the need to establish an efficient system for managing transport processes. In the context of the digital economy, the implementation of information and communication technologies, automated management systems, GPS monitoring, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), electronic document management, and digital logistics platforms is becoming increasingly important. The study considers the impact of digitalization on improving the transparency, speed, and efficiency of freight transportation processes, reducing logistics costs, strengthening control over vehicle movements, and ensuring more rational use of available resources. Particular attention is paid to the potential of digital technologies to improve information exchange among participants in transport and logistics processes, integrate individual elements of the supply chain, and create a unified information and logistics environment. Based on the analysis, the main directions for the digital transformation of the transport sector in the Republic of Tajikistan are identified. The study substantiates that the systematic implementation of digital solutions can contribute to improving the quality of transport services, reducing cargo processing time, optimizing transportation routes, increasing the competitiveness of the national transport system, and making more effective use of the country's transit potential. The results may be useful for developing strategic measures aimed at accelerating digital transformation and improving logistics management.
