Annotation: 

This article substantiates that due to the absence or non-compliance with the requirements of existing technical regulation standards in some countries there are large human casualties in natural disasters, including earthquakes. The ways of reforming the technical regulation system in the construction industry of the Republic of Tajikistan are considered. At first, before the introduction of modern technical regulation standards, it is proposed to use the experience accumulated in advanced countries, including the use of Eurocodes.
