Annotation:

The article examines the theoretical and applied aspects of improving the organizational and economic mechanism for managing the sustainable development of the regions of the Republic of Tajikistan. An analysis of the dynamics of macroeconomic and regional indicators for 2018–2024 was conducted, and territorial disparities as well as institutional constraints to spatial development were identified. The directions for modernizing the management mechanism aimed at increasing investment activity, enhancing the financial autonomy of regions, and improving the effectiveness of state regional policy are substantiated.
