This article examines current issues related to the informatization of the transport sector in the Republic of Tajikistan. It analyzes regulatory, legal, and organizational measures aimed at introducing digital technologies into road and rail transportation. Key trends in the development of intelligent transport systems are identified, including the creation of specialized government agencies, the implementation of global positioning systems, electronic inventory of the road network, and the automation of checkpoints. The need for strengthening international cooperation in electronic document management and the harmonization of digital standards within integration associations is substantiated. Specific mechanisms for improving the efficiency of information technology in the transport sector are proposed, taking into account the limited investment resources and the country's geopolitical location.
