Annotation:

This article discusses a new method for converting decimal numbers to the binary system. For ease of use, a template table has been compiled for quickly and easily converting from the decimal to the binary system and vice versa. Illustrative examples of conversion are provided, along with a comparison of the new method with the traditional method of dividing by 2. It has been shown that the new translation method is more convenient, easier and faster to perform. The results indicate that the proposed method is well suited for teaching number systems, computer science fundamentals, and digital logic. It can be effectively used as an auxiliary tool in secondary and higher education institutions for improving students’ understanding of number system conversions.

Keywords: number system, binary code, conversion algorithm, computational complexity, digital logic.
