Annotation:
Observation of comet C/2017 K2 (Pan-STARRS) conducted in 2021 using the AZT-8 telescope (GISAO) showed an increase in brightness and an expansion of the coma as it approached the Sun. Using a dynamical method, the radius, volume, and dust mass in the coma were calculated. The obtained data, including the sublimation rates of H₂O and CO₂, indicate that at distances greater than 5 AU, the main mechanism driving activity is the sublimation of volatile compounds, particularly the phase transition of amorphous ice to crystalline ice.
