The article examines the key factors of ensuring energy security in the context of green economy development. It is argued that under modern conditions energy security is shaped by a complex and dynamic combination of economic, institutional, technological, environmental and social factors. Special attention is paid to distinguishing between the concepts of ―principles,‖ ―conditions,‖ and ―factors‖ of energy security and to their hierarchical and systemic interaction. Based on a systems approach, a classification of factors is proposed that reflects the specifics of the energy transition and digital transformation. Taking into account the socio-economic and energy realities of the Republic of Tajikistan, the necessity of shifting from a resource-oriented model to comprehensive management of energy system resilience factors is substantiated. The study concludes that effective energy security in the green economy context can be achieved only through coordinated state policy, institutional mechanisms and investment-technological solutions.
